Lot Fourteen welcomed Defence consultancy AeroPM to the innovation district today at the company’s formal opening of their new facility.
AeroPM is an Australian award-winning professional services consultancy firm specialising in supporting the Australian Department of Defence to acquire complex and significant sovereign capabilities.
With a growing team of experienced consultants in South Australia, the company was attracted to Lot Fourteen to work within a district of likeminded talented professionals in the Defence and space industry.
State Project Lead, Di Dixon, welcomed the company saying, “our growing cluster of Defence companies here at Lot Fourteen is absolutely a key part of the value proposition of the innovation district and South Australia as the Defence state.”
“As we work towards the specially designed Entrepreneur and Innovation Centre’s opening in 2025, there has been so much interest from Defence, hi-tech and cyber organisations keen to be located here.”
AeroPM’s Chief Executive Officer, Emily Frizell, stated that the new location would complement its national headquarters in Canberra and accelerate its growth.
“Lot Fourteen is a genuinely collegiate environment and the access to like-minded professionals and companies is just good for business.
“Our Adelaide team has grown strongly over the last three years and the maturation of the company into a second facility reflects our expectations that this growth will continue as the demand for premium consultancy support within the Defence environment will remain high.
“Further, our team really relish the opportunity to base themselves out of the East End of the CBD at Lot Fourteen.”
With experts in systems engineering, test and evaluation, program and project management, commercial and integrated logistics support, AeroPM’s team support critical acquisitions within the aerospace, land, maritime and joint domains.
The South Australian based team lead the test and evaluation campaigns for key programs within the Air Warfare Centre, spearhead technology solutions for warfighting network applications and provide systems engineering, project management and integrated logistics support for counter improvised explosive device capabilities.
AeroPM joins Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure at Lot Fourteen alongside research and industry powerhouses including the Australian Space Agency, MIT bigdata Living Lab, the University of Adelaide’s Australian Institute for Machine Learning, Stone & Chalk, the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, Commonwealth Bank Technology Hub and the US MITRE Centre for Information Integrity & Defence.
AeroPM’s Head of Capture and Delivery and Adelaide Lead, Pete Nugent, was equally effusive about the company’s new location.
“Lot Fourteen is a real credit to the Government of South Australia and the process to engage and secure this facility was easy and efficient.
“It is particularly useful to be able to host interstate visitors in the CBD and the facilities to bring great and productive minds together cannot be overstated.”
“Our expectation is that AeroPM’s continued growth should place us well to consider expansion into the Entrepreneur and Innovation Centre when this opens in 2025.”
