Astro has touched down at Lot Fourteen as part of the Australian Space Agencyâs Adelaide Fringe Activation, with an aim to spread the message about âwhy space mattersâ.
Astro is standing proud and ready for selfies at Lot Fourteen in the Adelaide CBD for the duration of the Fringe Festival (17 February â 19 March), promising to be a real showstopper as thousands of people disembark the tram and head towards the Fringe hub.
Also, the Australian Space Discovery Centre is open until 8.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, during Adelaide Fringe season! Walk-ins welcome, no tickets required.
Lot Fourteen is the base for the headquarters for the Australian Space Agency.
Astro was created by Giant Inflatables, from the creative minds of Multiple Studios.
Enrico Palermo, the Head of the Australian Space Agency, says that not many people understand how much we rely on space technology.
âItâs one small step for the Australian Space Agency, but itâs a giant leap towards letting Australians know about what we do and how space impacts and improves our everyday lives.â he said.
Come along to take a selfie with Astro and discover how space impacts our daily lives!
